SHIPPING METHODS
There are different shipping services to choose from depending on the delivery destination. The available shipping companies are: Hellenic Post (ELTA), TNT Standard, FedEx, UPS & Aramex.
Premium Shipping Methods for Fast Delivery
TNT Standard, FedEx, UPS & Aramex are considered premium shipping services with guaranteed fast delivery.
Some of the above shipping methods may not be available for all destinations. All parcels are sent registered and insured.
For orders delivered within Greece we use ACS Courier services.
HANDLING – DELIVERY TIME
Handling – processing of orders 1-5 working days. Delivery time: 7-10 days. You can check where your order is using the tracking number sent to you via email.

DELIVERY FAILURE – RETURN OF PARCEL
If the courier company (TNT, UPS, FEDEX, ARAMEX) is unable to deliver your parcel because you have provided an incorrect delivery address or you are not present at the time of delivery, you will normally be notified of the delivery failure so you can reschedule. We will also in many cases contact you by email in an attempt to locate you and complete the delivery process.
If, despite our efforts, the package is returned to The Olive Tree in Greece, due to the above, i.e. due to your own fault, we will only refund you for the amount of money you paid when you placed the order minus the shipping cost to your destination and the returning shipping cost to our facilities which is 55 euros. This amount will be refunded only after we receive the parcel back to our facilities.
If you have chosen ELTA Hellenic Post (Standard post office) as the shipping method and you have provided an incorrect delivery address or you are absent at the time of delivery, then your parcel cannot be delivered. In this case the parcel will be returned to The Olive Tree in Greece and due to the above, i.e. due to your own fault, we will only refund you for the amount of money you paid when you placed the order minus the shipping cost to your destination. This amount will be refunded only after we receive the parcel back to our facilities.
LOST PARCEL
You bear all risks of loss and damage to the products from the time the same have cleared our logistic center. Delivery is deemed complete and title to the products passes to you upon acceptance of shipment by a common carrier.
REFUSAL TO ACCEPT DELIVERY OF YOUR ORDER
If for any reason you refuse to accept delivery of your order, the parcel will return to our facilities and you will be refunded the value of the items you have ordered minus the shipping to your destination cost and the returning shipping cost to our facilities which is 55 euros. This amount will be refunded only after we receive the parcel back to our facilities.
WORLDWIDE SHIPPING CHARGES
We ship to all destinations around the globe. Shipping cost varies depending on the destination, the carrier and the weight. You can calculate the shipping cost during the checkout process by entering the shipping country in the proper address field.
IMPORT CHARGES – (IMPORT DUTIES & TAXES)
EU Destinations. There are no import (custom) duties & taxes for EU destinations.
Definition: EU Destinations are the countries that are currently member countries of the EU (European Union): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
Non-EU Destinations – Potential Import Duties and Taxes
Definition: Non-EU Destinations are all the countries that are not part of European Union member countries.
For non-EU destinations, additional VAT or customs charges may sometimes apply, which are due and payable in the buyer’s country of import. The Olive Tree company bears no responsibility for these additional costs. The buyer is responsible for these VAT or customs charges which are not included in the price paid by the buyer during the checkout process at The Olive Tree online store. Delivery may be delayed sometimes until the package is cleared by the importing country’s customs. The olive tree online store is not responsible nor can it control any of these delays.
